TAS is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer who specialises in Citrix Virtual Desktop, Microsoft365 and Windows operating system technologies. The skills requirement will also evolve to include Microsoft Managed End-Point technologies such as InTune.

The focus of the role is to continuously evolve TAS’s Modern Desktop offerings to ensure market competitiveness, responsible across product development, project delivery and operational requirements.

Additional key responsibilities are:

  • Collaborating with project teams to migrate customer workloads from legacy Desktop as a Service
    offerings residing in TAS private cloud to Next Generation Desktop Services residing in Microsoft Azure public cloud.
  • Subject matter expertise to diagnose, problem solve and optimise solutions to drive measurable SLA outcomes for our clients.
  • Implement scalable, automated solutions that will benefit and bring value to our clients.
  • Establish production hosted End User computing environments in Azure cloud
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, cross-skilling and collaborative knowledge sharing with a focus on innovation, automation, and process improvements

Key Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Strong Microsoft End User computing background, especially in the fields of workload migration
  • Strong customer engagement experience, internally and externally facing
  • Demonstrable experience supporting Citrix Virtual Desktop deployments, in an enterprise environment
    including Citrix technologies; NetScaler, XenApp and XenDesktop, PVS, MCS and Citrix monitoring technologies.
  • Strong support skills across the Windows stack including, Operating System administration, monitoring, patch management, Group Policy management,printing, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 technologies including Azure Active Directory
    and AADConnect
  • Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment with focus on incident, problem, service request
    and change management.
  • Ability to engage technically with strategic partners and vendors to support 3rd party line of business
    applications delivered via Citrix Desktops.
  • Scripting experience using standard languages including PowerShell, Python
  • Permanent unrestricted working rights in Australia
